Abstract

In this paper we address the use of coded phase-shift keying (PSK) for digital transmission over radio channels affected by Doppler frequency shift. Examples of these channels occur in aeronautical and aeronautical/satellite mobile radio systems. In particular, we compare the performance of coded coherent, differential, and double-differential PSI< schemes by evaluating the cut-off rates of the discrete channels they generate.
