A diagnosis of fault location system for electrical transmission and distribution network

Abstract

This paper describes different ways of fault location in Electrical Transmission network, using online numeric relays and offline fault location kit TAURAUS ACCUMAX-3. The analysis of offline fault location is performed based on the real time data. In the modern electrical grid, accuracy and speed of fault clearance are the major issues which need to be addressed. An attempt is made in this paper to highlight the need of the hour and a novice approach for fault location on electrical transmission and distribution network.
