Abstract
A solar PV panel is used to derive the maximum available power from the sun's radiation in a given location and to supply it to a water pumping system through a suitable Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) system. A PI Controller based Fractional Open Circuit Voltage is implemented by Ziegler Nichols method to adjust the duty cycle of the DC-DC converter to perform the MPPT.
