Abstract
Correct and updated estimation of the load models parameters plays a significant role in power systems studies. These parameters can be estimated using the data registered by WAMS during contingencies in the power system. A method of the load model parameters estimation based on the system state analysis is proposed in this paper. Parameters of various types of load models can be estimated and an information on the type and structure of load is not necessarily needed. Correctness of obtained load models parameters is checked using the physical power system simulator and EUROSTAG digital models. The estimated load model parameters provide the better quality for digital power systems models than type-parameters.
