Analysis of media coverage of sport for people with disabilities

Abstract

The main objective of the research is to analyze media coverage of sport and physical activities for people with disabilities in 2017. The primary objective is to provide a basic overview of the topics most commonly associated with sport for people with disabilities as well as to provide information on which Czech media has published most articles. The secondary objective is to identify the most mentioned events and persons. Data for this research were found in the media archive of company Anopress IT which is accessible to employees of the Faculty of Education of the University of South Bohemia. The media list was not limited and included all monitored media. The search query was compiled of using two sets of main keywords and basic logical operators. The main contribution of the research can be understood mainly in mapping the communication of the topic to public as well as a possible support for institutions or individuals whose interest would be to promote sport and physical activities for people with disabilities.
