Abstract

Landing gear strut is one of the critical structural members of an aircraft which sustains impact loads during take-off, taxi and landing phase. So its strength characteristics and dynamic response play an important role in the overall functionality and performance of aircraft. This paper presents the dynamic response of a composite strut of landing gear against different impact velocities. For this purpose, a strut assembly was analyzed using ANSYS LSDYNA software.
