Abstract

The article analyzes the process of formation and functioning of the customs service in the Moscow state in the second half of the XVI century – XVII century. Based оn the research the authors identified features of the formation of the customs service as an independent state. Agency, and also presents the results of studying of normative legal acts regulating the activities of customs agencies and had a significant impact on their development and functioning as a law enforcement body.
