Abstract
Reconfigurable antenna array has gained considerable interest in nowadays wireless communication systems. In this article is proposed, a simple structure of a dual-patch element antenna array incorporated three semicircles-defected ground structures to achieve a wideband microstrip antenna array with frequency reconfigurable. For the feeding network, the T-junction power divider approach used. In the simulation, RF switches are considered as copper tracks and are inserted in the defected ground structure slots to reconfigure the frequency. The proposed antenna array operates in dual bands with frequency reconfigurable properties for application in the C -band (6.91-7.49 GHz) and (7.03-7.67 GHz). Hence, antenna array works in dual switching states: ON and OFF.
