Abstract
A coplanar waveguide (CPW)-fed printed dual frequency reconfigurable micromachined slot antenna on Alumina substrate $(\boldsymbol{\mathcal{E}}_{\mathbf{r}}-9.8)$ is presented. The frequency shift is achieved with RF MEMS SPST series switch. Signal line of CPW waveguide is elongated till middle of the slot and a rectangular stub is attached perpendicularly to signal line in slot area. This stub itself divided into three parts with the help of two switches; when the switches are OFF the resonance is only affected by central part of the stub and when switches are ON then all parts of the stub as a whole will affect the resonance thus shifting the resonance frequency. The resonance frequency is shifted from 39GHz $(\mathbf{F}.\mathbf{B}.\approx\ 15\%)$ to 58.5 GHz.
