Abstract
Induction heating is one of the promising methods of thermal treatment of metals. Thyristor frequency converters that are complex and expensive electrical products are used as power sources of induction heaters. Information about the currents and voltages of the circuit elements is extremely important during the planning stage of frequency converter. Developed a simulation model of thyristor frequency converter in Matlab with Simulink expansion pack. Model has original blocks which enables the investigation of electromagnetic processes in the power supply system of induction heaters when the mode parameters are changed.
