Abstract
In our country meeting the demand of electricity is a very big concern. The crisis of the electricity is mainly due to increasing of load, lack of proper maintenance and other factors. To worsen this situation further, our resources are limited as well. Moreover our electricity penetration in rural areas has not improved yet. The fact that only 10% of the rural households have electricity connection and there are some parts of Bangladesh which will not get the access of electricity connection from the national grid within next 30 years [1] does not help the cause either. To overcome this crisis many projects and research has been done particularly focusing on renewable energy resources. The project in this paper illustrates the effective ways of utilizing solar and hydro energy to provide uninterruptible power supply (UPS) scheme during load shedding period also it could be used as standalone system with a minor adjustment to generate electricity. The whole project is a miniature version which could be implemented on large scale.
