On the English Translation Strategies of the Tales on Scenic Spots in Ganze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture from the Perspective of Cultural Translation: A Case Study of Swallow-Gully Scenic Spot

Abstract

: The translation of tales on scenic spot of Swallow-Gully is communication and interaction between the Chinses culture and English culture. From the perspective of Cultural Translation, the translator need integrate the Chinese culture of tales into the English text, introducing the Chinese culture in the tales to English-speaking tourists. There are different cultural values and practices in Chinese and English cultures, so the translator is supposed to have a deep understanding of the cultural meaning in the English translation of tales on scenic spot of Swallow-Gully through cultural adaptation, in order to successfully achieve the communication and interaction of these two cultures.
