Abstract

Functional electrical stimulation (FES) is an assistive neuro-rehabilitation technology which uses low level electrical currents to stimulate nerves innervating paralyzed muscles. Until now, FES is one of the most effective treatment for foot drop or drop foot which is a gait deviation resulted in inadequate activation of dorsiflexion muscles of lower limbs. In this paper, we introduce design of a circuit to generate pulse current using for stimulating or activating dorsiflexion muscles of foot drop patients.
