Abstract

A novel beam scanning leaky wave antenna based on integrated substrate gap waveguide (ISGW) is proposed in this paper. The self sealing ISGW is used for feeding, and the PEC layer on the upper surface of the three-layer ISGW is spiral slot for leaky wave radiation. The simulation results of ISGW-L WA show that the frequency band of the proposed integrated substrate gap waveguide leaky wave antenna with reflection coefficient less than −10dB is 24.27GHz −29.79GHz. It can realize forward (5 ° to 20 °) beam scanning. In addition, the maximum gain of the antenna is 13.1dB, and the average radiation efficiency is 95%.
