Abstract
The paper presents an active envelope load-pull system for the active control of load impedance over a bandwidth of approximately 100 MHz, hence extending the employment of active load pull systems to modulated signals. As a result, the load-pull system can be also employed for linearity investigations of non-linear devices, which is crucial for telecommunication systems. Moreover, the presented load pull system offers the complete control of the impedances within the bandwidth and allows for novel applications such as accurate emulation of complete PA matching circuits over the entire operational bandwidth.
