Developing tool for Odoo platform

Abstract

Enterprise Resourse Planning (ERP) is business process management software that allows an organization to use a system of integrated applications to manage the business and automate many back office functions. Odoo ERP is powerful open source platform for the business applications which have a suite of closely integrated applications that was build to cover all business areas. The idea of this research is to design and developing an odoo platform tool that help the Odoo developers to create an odoo modules in a fast, easy and flixable way. This tool reduces coding significantly; the developer is only insert the names of the database's tables and fields then the module files will be generated automatically. Also the platform provides a community to make communication between Odoo developers other so that they can interact, exchange the knowledge, skills and the experience from each other's. In addition, the platform contains a module repository to control the changes that made by the developer in the modules and get back the changes at any time. The platform also provides help and good documentation that serve as user manual for the developer. The result of this research showed that creating of modules became very easy and faster, where the time of creating modules decreased for more than 50% relatively.
