Abstract

We consider some key issues in the use of computer software in Numerical Analysis teaching. By first examining the role of the computer in education, we consider how the teaching of numerical analysis is enhanced through the introduction of computer software. Practical issues such as programming language requirements and sources of numerical software are reviewed.
