The increased responsiveness of a packet radio network obtained using the adaptive signaling policies is examined as an example. Improved network responsiveness was obtained for those networks where the signaling channel cycle length must be set to accommodate the maximum number of users but in typical deployments fewer than the maximum may actually participate. Abstract
