Abstract

1.0 Summary GLOBALSTAR enhances worldwide mobile services using a constellation of low earth orbiting satellites. The key feature of this system is its ability to offer low-cost, high quality and flexible services not currently available in areas not economical to serve terrestrially. It utilizes existing public and/or private network facilities to extend mobile users' global connectivity. GLOBALSTAR subscribers will be able to communicate wherever and whenever they happen to be. Furthermore, such operation is deemed to be both profitable and low risk.
