In this paper, distributed power flow controller is applied to improve the small signal stability of the power system. In order to ensure the distributed power flow controller to control the flow of the target line in the small signal stability range, a method for determining target parameters of distributed power flow controller is presented. This method combines power flow calculation model with active power optimal dispatch and small signal calculation. And an integrated scheduling equation with small signal stability constraints will be formed. Solve this equation to get the control target parameters of distributed power flow controller. Meanwhile, the PSASP is used to simulate and verify CEPRI7V7 system with the distributed power flow controller. Abstract

During the operation of AC/DC interconnected power grids, small signal instability of low frequency oscillation between regions is prone to occur. In this paper, distributed power flow controller is applied to improve the small signal stability of the power system.
