Abstract

An extreme event can cause power outages in power grids due to damaged lines and/or substations. Line outages may also result in voltage instabilities which may finally lead to partial or complete blackout in the grid. This paper is concerned about the placement of distributed generators (DG) in order to strengthen the power grid against such extreme events. The proposed approach places a minimum number of distributed generators to secure the system against expected contingencies also ensuring voltage stability of the grid.
极端事件下分布式发电机的策略配置
