Arana-Calderón, Sandra Paola Chávez-Guevara","doi":"10.17268/rmt.2020.v15i04.05","DOIUrl":null,"url":null,"abstract":"RESUMEN Introducción: El 50 % de diabéticos padece de enfermedad renal crónica (ERC), siendo la ECV la principal causa de morbimortalidad en ellos, sin embargo, esto se da porque los pacientes con ERC mueren por eventos cardiovasculares antes de llegar a enfermedad renal terminal debido a que el daño cardiovascular inicia en una etapa temprana de la enfermedad renal, siendo necesario conocer los factores asociados al desarrollo de ERC en estadios iniciales de dicha enfermedad. Objetivo general: Determinar los factores asociados al desarrollo de ERC en pacientes diabéticos tipo 2 que se atienden de forma regular en un Hospital I. Materiales y métodos:Se realizo un estudio descriptivo de corte trasversal. Resultados: Se incluyeron 218 pacientes, encontrándose diferencia estadística significativa en la edad, HbA1c, nefroprotección y LDL-colesterol (p<0,05). Siendo la edad > a 60 años y la HbA1c ≥ 7%, factores de riesgo con un OR de 2,01 y 1,87 respectivamente, mientras que, el tener nefroprotección y cifras menores de 100mg/dl de LDL-colesterol fueron factores protectores contra el riesgo de desarrollar ERC al tener un OR de 0,52 y 0,53 respectivamente. Conclusión:Los factores asociados con el desarrollo de ERC en pacientes diabéticos son la edad, HbA1c, nefroprotección y LDL-colesterol. Materials and methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out. Results: 218 patients were included, finding a statistically significant difference in age, HbA1c, nephroprotection and LDL-cholesterol (p <0.05). Being age> 60 years old and HbA1c ≥ 7%, risk factors with an OR of 2.01 and 1.87, respectively, while having nephroprotection and less than 100mg / dl of LDL-cholesterol were protective factors against the risk of develop ERC by having an OR of 0.52 and 0.53 respectively.
