Abstract

The features of development and application of automated systems of traffic control have been analyzed in this work. The existing approaches to Smart traffic lights realization on the roads of highly developed countries were explored. As a result, a prototype of a traffic light control system was created for training students in the fields of study Transport systems and Information technologies. The importance of gaming technologies application for the active involvement of students in the educational process and the formation of the necessary competencies were proved. The main stages of a serious game based on the developed prototype were presented.
