Abstract

This paper proposes a novel sensitivity analysis using two loss sensitivity indices (LSIs) based on active power to select the most candidate capacitors locations in a radial distribution network (RDN). A correlation parameter for each sensitivity type is proposed. The total active power loss, the buses voltages and the cost of installation are considered in the proposed study.
