Abstract
Objective: The study was carried out to determine the effect of health quality perceptions of nurses working in surgical clinics on the on-patient safety culture.
Materials and Methods: The research is of descriptive type. It was held in İnönü University, Turgut Özal Medical Center hospital between January 2021 and February 2022. The research sample consisted of 237 nurses. Personal Information Form, Patient Safety Culture Scale (PSCS), and Quality Perception Scale (QPS) created by the researchers were used as data collection tools in the study. Descriptive statistical methods were used to evaluate the study data, and Pearson correlation analyzes were used to determine the relationship between the scales.
Results: The total mean score obtained from PSS was found to be 3.36±0.21 in the study. Employee behavior sub-dimension was found to have the highest score of 3.48±0.28 among the sub-dimensions of PSS. In the study, it was found that the total mean score obtained from the QPS was 82.15±6.80. In the study, it was determined that the employee benefit sub-dimension had the highest score with 90.50±8.75 among the sub-dimensions of QPS. A positive, moderate correlation was found between the total score of PSS and the total score of QPS (r= .407, p
