The paper discusses the interpreting mechanism of natural spatial query language with spatial knowledge bases which include spatial dictionary, spatial query sentence pattern, grammar rule, spatial semantics, etc. The natural language in the paper especially refers to Chinese. Through the interpreting mechanism, a Chinese spatial query sentence will be transferred to one or several spatial operations and spatial information which queried by users will be supplied. The important components of the interpreting mechanism include spatial segmenting, parsing, semantics analysis, executing of spatial query functions, organizing and expressing of query results, ect.
