Abstract

The contribution of this paper is to propose a higher order mode generation for gyrotron using fundamental mode. The proposed structure aerates two higher order modes $- \text{TE}_{6,2}$ and TE 10,1 because their first kind of Bessel function values is almost equal. The $\text{TE}_{6,2}$ mode is very useful for gyrotron amplification, whereas $\text{TE}_{10,1}$ is an undesired higher-order mode. We suppressed the TE10,1 mode by properly loading high conductive wire.
