Mmb:: a mobile music blogger system for inter-vehicle entertainment

Abstract

The concept of Music Blogger for the moving vehicles is proposed in this study. Employing streaming of music in a vehicular ad hoc network (VANET) enables the vehicle to become a mobile Music Blogger (MMB) among other vehicles connected with the network. In this study, an embedded device with WiFi interface was employed to develop the Music Blogger utilizing the ICECAST opensource project. System and software architecture for the proposed MMB are developed. Realization and experimental result of the MMB using Independent Basic Service Set (IBSS) of IEEE 802.11 (Wireless LAN) with web-based graphical user interface are described as well.
