Abstract

Six designs of the wideband phased array antennas based on Wheeler’s concept of current sheet have been summarized in this paper. From the array structure point of view, the arrays with vertically placed PCBs and those with fully planar structures have been categorized. From the final goals, the efforts have been paid to the arrays toward larger bandwidth and those with as a low profile as possible. Photographs of the six designs have been given for reference in this each section.
