Abstract
The number of vision disability individuals has been increasing continuously, including those who are totally blind and have low vision. Technology has become a big part of aiding these people but most of the equipments do not provide enough utility and convenience. One of the major problems for those visually impaired individuals is to navigate through indoor buildings without having extra equipment or devices with them. Currently, there is technology for outdoor navigation, such as Google Maps, however navigating through indoor buildings requires further development. This research is developed an application on a mobile device, being used widely in this group of people, with available sensors provided on the devices. Therefore no extra equipment are needed for those visually impaired individuals. The application is a prototype and has been tested to navigate successfully in a single floor of a building.
