Abstract
In this paper, a rapid start-up and fast stabilization PTAT current reference is proposed. This circuit is improved based on the traditional PTAT current reference, and optimizes the start-up circuit and adds the operational amplifier. A positive feedback mechanism, a mismatch mechanism and a special circuit structure are used to achieve the purpose of rapid start-up and fast stabilization of the bias voltage. The results show that the start-up circuit consumes about 30% of the total power consumption in the temperature range of −40°C to 85°C, and achieves an excellent performance of the PTAT current source circuit which indicates that it takes about 3μs in the startup process.
