IEEE 519–1992 Standard has specified certain limits for the harmonic currents and voltages. According to this, the users should limit harmonic current and the supplier should limit harmonic voltages. The harmonic currents and voltages injected at the Point of Common Coupling (PCC) by the end users and utility are to be within the limits, specified by IEEE Standards. Phase Angle Diversity method is a simplified approach to predict harmonic limit compliance. It incorporates the potentially significant effects of diversity factor and Attenuation factor of different loads. It also gives the effect of power variations on system harmonic current.
