Abstract

In this paper, we analyze the effect of the in-phase/quadrature imbalances on the error performance of M-ary phase shift keying (PSK) systems in the presence of impulsive noise. We adopt Middleton class A model as an impulsive noise model and derive symbol error rate (SER) and SER floor expressions of M-ary PSK over an impulsive noise channel. Through computer simulations, we validate the theoretical results.
