A (blind) adaptive multi-channel equalizer for decision feedback filter combined with semi-blind channel estimation is proposed effectively to mitigate co-channel and intersymbol interference in a TDMA cellular phone system such as GSM and IS-136 TDMA systems only using the training sequence of the desired user under time varying channel situation. In our scheme, the channels are estimated using training sequence in every slots and used as initial values for the proposed sub-optimal multi-user receiver to mitigate the slowly fading frequency selective multipath channels and co-channel interference.
