Abstract

gprMax simulator is used to perform the earth simulation for time domain Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) application. gprMax is an open source software that simulates electromagnetic wave propagation. Point source and antenna fields are used as source of excitations. Responses of the simulations are evaluated and corresponding results are validated using the data generated from the in-house GPR experiments. Responses of single layered dispersive media to Gaussian pulse excited antenna are studied using gprMax simulator.
