The analysis was validated through mathematical hand calculations. Hypermesh is used as a Pre-processors for meshing and generating Finite Element Model. ANSYS 10 has been used as a Solver and Postprocessor for the Analysis and the interpretation of results. The analysis is carried out to assess the strength and stiffness of the crankshaft using the CAE tools. The results of Finite Element Analysis and the mathematical calculations are as discussed. Abstract

In this paper deals with application of Finite Element Analysis for determining the effectiveness of a Mono crankshaft in meeting the intent of the design.
