Abstract

Gentlemen,?At the request of my colleagues, I appear here to address you on the commencement of another winter session. I have undertaken this duty with much diffidence, because I have failed to discover in myself any special qualification for the office, unless it be the somewhat unenviable circumstance of my happening to be the oldest medical lecturer in our extraacademical school.
