Violence that is often committed against women, especially in the family environment, can spread to violence against their children. In this case the occurrence of domestic violence can affect the level of emotional maturity of the child, which comes from the character, disposition, experience, maturity of age and the environment in which the individual lives. And emotional can be improved, one of which is by the pattern of communication between the child and the parent. Then the question arises whether communication can shape or build a child's emotions? Are communication patterns related to the onset of violence? The methodology used in this case is to use analytical descriptive methods with a qualitative approach and materials to be obtained through literature studies. The subjects in this study included 3 subjects, with the characteristics of the subjects (wives) aged between 30-60 years, the marriage took place once, the wife experienced domestic violence. Basically, violence has positive implications, which makes children obey their parents, as well as wives to be obedient to their husbands. However, it is not because it is earnestly out of the heart and consciousness, but rather because of compulsion, feelings of fear and oppression. Democratic and interactive communication patterns will determine the success of the socialization process in the child. The process of socialization becomes important because in the process there will be a transmission of a positive value system that is established between parents and children, in this case both father and mother.
