Abstract

We propose an affordable antenna measurement system designed for educational purposes. The system is scalable and easy to implement in both hardware and software. The integrated single-board computer (SBC) and the radio frequency printed circuit boards (RF PCBs) provide full independence from bulk microwave measurement devices and personal computers. The pattern measurement done with the system has been compared with the numerically obtained radiation pattern from ANSYS HFSS software. ±1dB detection capability is verified for a single lobe antenna.
