Abstract

This article proposes product reverse design (PRD) teaching, which is a brand-new teaching model applied in engineering education. This article describes the implementation process and requirements of PR education through an example of a national competition. The PR education model is to provide students with existing commercial products, allow students complete the design content as a team in accordance with the design process stated in this article. The students will compare their own designs with the commercial products to gain more design experience and improve their design capabilities. Students' design results can be made into physical prototypes through 3D printing, carpentry workshops and other forms. Finally, the characteristics and advantages of PR education are analyzed.
工程设计教育中产品逆向设计教学模式的构建
