Abstract

We examined whether increased concentration of ammonium or phosphate prevents bleaching in the coral Galaxea fascicularis exposed to a high temperature to test the hypothesis that bleaching occurs when cnidarian hosts fail to supply their symbiotic algae with sufficient inorganic nutrients.
