Abstract

The authors discuss the design of bandgap references. Firstly they define a bandgap reference as a voltage reference of which the output voltage is referred to the bandgap energy of the used semiconductor. Then they present a systematic design approach, which covers architectures, noise power and supply rejection. A design example is given.
