Step perturbation of input mechanical power and reference voltages are executed and ITAE based objective function considered for optimization problem. Abstract
A STATCOM based damping action has been proposed for small signal stability enhancement of power system. An auxiliary lead-lag control action based on STATCOM has been employed here to damp power system oscillation. The control action variables are optimized by a simplified Grey Wolf Optimizer algorithm.
