Abstract
A measurement system able to extract the envelop of signals coming from electrical motors has been presented. The system use a tri-axial accelerometer mounted on an electrical motor used on small Unmanned Aerial Vehicles to made a vibrational analysis. The aim of this paper is to show the first part of this system based on the Envelope Analysis that, with the support of a database and a comparison algorithm, will facilitate the identification of possible failures. A first analysis of the required algorithms based on the Envelope Analysis is presented together with a test bench which allows the analysis of different types of electric motors. A series of tests are also presented.
