Abstract

Construção composicional É construída predominantemente por sequências dialógicas responsáveis pela construção de uma narrativa (contempla personagens, espaço e tempo). São utilizados quadros combinando a dimensão verbal (escrita) e visual (imagem), portanto, a organização de enunciados se apresenta na materialidade verbo-visual. Além disso, possui título, textos estruturados em balões, e a palavra fim sinalizando o encerramento do enredo. Fonte : autoria própria. ABSTRACT : Within the indisciplinary field of Applied Linguistics, in this research we analyze a comic from Chuck Billy named In the “ingrichi” class, with the purpose to discuss the way the comic builds possibilities for the construction of representation about the practice of teaching language, being a teacher, being a student and the possible consequences of this type of material for the readers. Dialogical studies of language according to Bakhtin’s perspective and his Circle’s is the theoretical apparatus that guided this research. The analysis is descriptive-interpretive and follows a qualitative research approach. The comic has the representation of scho-lastic language teaching; a teacher who reproduces and applies content, represents herself using physical pun-ishment and the students who are responsible for the unproductive work.
