Abstract

In this paper, we study the power efficiency of cooperative broadcast in high-density 1D networks. This is an extension to our previous work which assumed interference-free transmission using single-shot transmission protocol [1]. In this work, interference is taken into account by introducing continuous source transmission protocol. Sufficient condition for successful broadcast is derived and the power consumption is compared with noncooperative multihop broadcast.
