At first, we made the calculation of vegetation coverage in 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2013, then got the average value of vegetation coverage of 10 years, and finally analyzed the vegetation coverage transfer in 2003-2013, which concluded that the vegetation coverage in central region of the Hohhot-Baotou-Ordos district is higher, and the north and the south are low. In 2003-2009, the vegetation coverage of the Hohhot-Baotou-Ordos district was floating, and in 2009-2013, the vegetation coverage had an improved trend.
