Grid Independent Operation of 200 hp DC Drive Using Solar-Wind-Battery Hybrid Power Source

Abstract

The dependency issues with renewable sources had always been a concern. Modern day energy storage system has solved the problem to a larger extent. Integrating storage system helps renewable power systems to supply peak load. Combining Solar, wind and storage system reduces vulnerability and fluctuations in energy generations and improves reliability and economical to run. Most often buildings in city limits fail to be energy sufficient. Use of renewable energy in high rise or medium rise buildings can make it energy independent while saving units from grids. The proposed model uses a four quadrant three phase rectifier DC motor drive load. In this manuscript a four quadrant three phase rectifier DC motor drive load is analysed for performance in a matlab simulated environment.
