Abstract

OSEK/VDX has proposed a standard for operating systems used in automotive systems. This standard is described in the form of informal specification. The informal specification is not suitable for applying formal methods to the whole of the software development because the ambiguity of the specification causes many problems in the development. Hence, we are formalizing the specification of OSEK/VDX using a formal specification language. Because this specification has been standardized, we do not change it but faithfully formalize it.
