Problems related to the two-channel connection of sensors to the safety PLC

Abstract

Safety PLCs have become a popular device for implementing safety functions in industrial applications. Their correct use is the prerequisite for achieving the required safety integrity level (SIL). This is closely related to the parametrization of the safety PLC (setting of the parameters). This paper deals mainly with parameters influencing the safety of two-channel connection of sensors to the safety PLC.
